VTB and Rosatom signed an agreement on cooperation in nuclear energy

VTB and Rosatom approved a framework agreement on cooperation in the construction of nuclear energy facilities. The document was signed by Deputy President and Chairman of the Board of VTB Valery Lukyanenko and Deputy General Director of Rosatom for Economics and Finance Ilya Rebrov at the VTB forum “Russia Calling!”

The agreement provides for “the establishment of an effective and mutually beneficial partnership in the development of energy infrastructure, including abroad,” the bank’s press release says. No other details are provided.

Mr. Lukyanenko noted the strategic nature of the partnership between the bank and the state corporation. According to him, VTB “provides support in achieving the company’s goals of creating advanced nuclear energy facilities that supply private consumers and enterprises.” Mr. Rebrov noted that Rosatom, in partnership with VTB, has implemented a number of projects around the world that “contribute to the development of high-tech industries and strengthen the status of Russia as one of the leaders in the international energy market.”
