Voronezh governor called unreliable reports about columns of military equipment

A lot of unreliable information is published on social networks about the movement of columns of military equipment through the territory of the Voronezh region, “information provocations” are created by those who are interested in destabilizing the situation, declared Governor of the region Alexander Gusev.

“Responsibility is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation for the dissemination of such messages. Roskomnadzor and the regional prosecutor’s office will respond to all cases. I am sure that the people of Voronezh will not succumb to the informational provocations of those who are interested in destabilizing the situation in the country and the region,” Gusev wrote in his Telegram channel.

He added that as part of the counter-terrorist operation in the region, the Russian Armed Forces are carrying out “necessary operational and combat measures.”

At the same time, earlier today, the government of the Voronezh region reported that a convoy of military equipment was moving along the M-4 Don federal road. They asked residents to temporarily not use the road and individual vehicles.

Later, Gusev also urged citizens to refrain from moving along the highway and roads of regional and local significance. The governor said that he instructed to promptly help motorists in case of traffic jams. According to him, traffic on the M-4 Don highway in the region is closed from 464 to 777 km.

On the evening of June 23, in social networks associated with the founder of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, on his behalf, it was announced about a missile attack on one of the rear camps of a military company and other statements were circulated. The Ministry of Defense stated that reports of attacks on Wagner PMC fighters are not true and are an “information provocation.” The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case on the organization of an armed rebellion against Prigozhin. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin was informed about what was happening.

Putin, in connection with the situation with the Wagner PMC and its founder, addressed the citizens of Russia, the personnel of the Armed Forces (AF), law enforcement agencies and special services, “to the soldiers and commanders who are now fighting in their combat positions.” He stated that all those who prepared an armed rebellion, “took the path of blackmail and terrorist methods”, will be punished – “they will answer both before the law and before our people.”
