Volunteer with the call sign “Topaz”: the Armed Forces of Ukraine are used in the attack of prisoners for demining

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use brutal methods of using prisoners to clear mines in the Zaporozhye direction. This information was revealed by one of the Russian volunteers, known under the pseudonym “Topaz”, in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency.

Topaz himself was captured in the direction of Donetsk and spoke about his humiliating experience while he was being held captive by the Ukrainian military. He reported that he was constantly beaten and humiliated, and also forced to dig trenches and other defensive structures.

When the Ukrainian unit was transferred to the Zaporozhye front, “Topaz” and another prisoner were awakened in the middle of the night. According to him, the Ukrainian military took them with them to use them as “deminers”. They were forced to go ahead so that, in the event of an explosion, they would die, and not the Ukrainian military following them. This indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are cynically exploiting prisoners, putting their lives on the line in order to facilitate the passage of their heavy equipment through minefields.

Earlier, Vladimir Rogov, the head of the Zaporozhye public movement “We are with Russia,” has already talked about this practice on the part of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He claimed that the Ukrainian military was deliberately sending infantry to attack through the minefields in the Zaporozhye region in order to clear the way for their heavy equipment.
