Volodin urged Poland to think about the consequences of increasing tensions on the border

The Polish authorities are pursuing a pro-American policy that is unpopular among the population, but Polish President Andrzej Duda and his party are ready to go to great lengths to save ratings. This statement was made by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

“To save its rating, the Polish leadership is playing the card of an external threat. Despite the fact that such a threat does not exist, about 10,000 Polish soldiers were pulled to the borders of Belarus. It is quite obvious that Duda and his party are ready to go to great lengths to maintain personal power,” wrote politician in his Telegram channel.

Volodin noted that such steps could lead to increased tension on the border with Belarus, and asked a rhetorical question about whether the Polish authorities think about the consequences of such actions. In conclusion, the speaker of the State Duma concluded that Poland’s biggest problem is finding “crazy people in power.”

On October 15, parliamentary elections will be held in Poland. As Volodin notes, 33% of Poles are ready to vote for the ruling Law and Justice party. It is closely followed by Donald Tusk’s Civic Coalition with 32%. According to the speaker of the State Duma, the citizens of the republic do not share the pro-American policy of the authorities and do not understand “how it is possible to support the Nazi Kiev regime.”

In the elections, the Poles will elect 460 deputies and 100 senators. In addition to the leading parties, the Eurosceptic Confederation party, the coalition of the Left and the Third Way parties and the union of the Polish Peasants’ Party and the Poland Party also participate in the vote. In order to get into parliament, parties need to overcome the barrier of 5%, and party coalitions – 8%.
