Volodin: The State Duma adopted a record number of laws

The State Duma adopted 653 laws in 2022, this is a record in the entire history of the parliament, said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
“In 2022, the State Duma adopted 653 laws, this is the largest number in the history of the parliament,” Volodin noted (quote according to RIA Novosti).
Last year, it was calculated that from October 12 to December 22, within the framework of the session, the deputies held 23 meetings. During the session, 179 bills were submitted to the lower house, deputies adopted 143 laws.
In 2020 was 530 laws passed. Then Volodin called this result of the year impressive and noted that the work took place in the difficult conditions of a pandemic and challenges.
