Volodin says EU paid for Putin’s arrest warrant

Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin demanded that the judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) involved in issuing a warrant for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin be brought to justice.
The Russian politician, in particular, accused the European Union of bribing ICC judges.
“This is corruption, this is direct bribery of judges. This issue needs to be sorted out. Those who make such decisions must be moved from Brussels to Lefortovo,” quotes his Telegram channel of the State Duma.
Volodin also said that the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, who “declares on behalf of the European Union,” should come and testify to the Russian Investigative Committee.
The speaker of the State Duma emphasized that the decisions of the ICC do not apply to the Russian Federation at all.
Earlier it became known that the ICR opened a criminal case against the prosecutor and judges of the ICC, who issued a warrant for the arrest of the Russian president.
