Volodin launched a survey on the purchase of domestic cars for officials

Budget funds should be directed to the development of the Russian automotive industry, says State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. He launched a survey on this topic in his Telegram channel.

“Do you think it is right to buy domestic brands of cars for executive authorities, deputies, budgetary institutions, state corporations?” – asked Speaker of the State Duma

About 7,000 people took part in the survey at the time of publication of the material, 89% supported Volodin’s initiative.

Earlier this week, Volodin during a plenary session of the lower parliament offeredso that all budgetary institutions and authorities must purchase domestic cars. He called on the deputies to support the position of the Ministry of Finance, whose employees, by decision of Minister Anton Siluanov, will switch to Russian cars with a deep level of localization. The speaker stressed that the State Duma would also make such a decision. “It is in our power to replenish the park of the State Duma as soon as possible with “frets” and “Muscovites”. Therefore, let’s proceed from this,” Volodin said, adding that some deputies are already using domestic cars.

In June, State Duma deputy from United Russia Sultan Khamzaev declaredthat Russian officials should switch to domestic cars, and foreign luxury cars should become a thing of the past.

Siluanov during the SPIEF tested the domestic car Lada Aura. After that, he noted that the new AvtoVAZ model could replace foreign brands used by officials. At the same time, he stated that ministry employees are ready to change their official cars to Lada Aura.
