Volodin commented on the supply of weapons with a nuclear component to Ukraine

Deliveries of munitions with depleted uranium to Ukraine can lead to a global tragedy that will affect European states. About it declared State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel.

“A war to the last Ukrainian can become a war to the last European. Britain announced that the Kiev Nazi regime would be supplied with depleted uranium ammunition (by the way, Washington used similar shells in Yugoslavia and Iraq, which led to the contamination of the area, as well as a sharp increase in cancer among people). This decision is leading to a tragedy on a global scale, which will primarily affect European states,” he said.

Volodin stressed that if weapons with a nuclear component are supplied to Ukraine, “there will be no going back.” According to him, this decision may be followed by the use of a “dirty bomb” or tactical nuclear weapons by Kiev.

The fact that the UK will supply Ukraine with shells with depleted uranium for the Challenger 2 tanks, earlier reported Deputy Minister of Defense of the Kingdom Annabelle Goldie. She explained the supply of such ammunition by the fact that they are highly effective in defeating modern tanks and armored vehicles.

As noted by RIA Novosti, shells with depleted uranium are included in the ammunition of American Abrams tanks, they can also be used by German Leopard 2 and British Challenger 2. At the same time, experts emphasize that the uranium dust remaining after the use of shells is extremely toxic and is not subject to decontamination.

After that, Russian President Vladimir Putin warnedthat Russia will be forced to respond to the supply of shells with depleted uranium to Ukraine. According to him, this decision demonstrates the willingness of the West to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, not in words but in deeds.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned that pumping Ukraine with weapons brings NATO closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash with Russia. The Kremlin said that the Leopard and Abrams tanks would burn down the same way as the rest of Western military equipment.
