Volodin accused Kyiv of child trafficking

The surrogacy industry is actively developing in Ukraine, and President Volodymyr Zelensky supports these crimes. About it declared State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel.

“There [на Украине] crimes against children are supported by the Kyiv regime at the highest level. Today, the surrogacy industry is flourishing in Ukraine. Advertisements are placed on buses, on social media, and agents are hired to recruit young women across the country. Thousands of Ukrainian girls, whose spouses were taken to the front, are forced to agree to surrogate motherhood in order to feed themselves,” he wrote.

According to Volodin, the owner of one of the largest surrogacy clinics in Ukraine is a German citizen. “Zelensky and his henchmen, hoping to please their Western masters, continue to exterminate the Ukrainian people: millions of Ukrainians fled abroad, hundreds of thousands of men were forcibly driven into the army, and their women become surrogate mothers for foreign citizens,” the State Duma speaker added.

Volodin recalled that in Russia, at the legislative level, it is forbidden to provide surrogacy services to foreigners. Similar prohibitions apply in Italy, France, Germany, China and India.

At the end of December 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which only Russians who are married, or a single woman, a Russian citizen who, for medical reasons, cannot have children, can use the services of surrogate motherhood. Foreign citizens are prohibited from using such a service in Russia.

The deputies began work on the bill after the events of January 2020, when several babies were found in a Moscow apartment, one of which was dead. On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on human trafficking (part 3 of article 127.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), subsequently eight people were detained in connection with it – employees of reproductive clinics.

In November, Volodin reported that over the past few years there have been exported 45,000 babies born by surrogate mothers. As a result, children “often find themselves in the most difficult situations: they become victims of crimes, including sales for organs, fall into same-sex couples.” According to him, the turnover of illegal business related to surrogacy services may exceed 2 billion euros.
