This winter, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are waiting for a shortage of fuel and lubricants for refueling cars, heating equipment and a lack of industrial electricity. How declared military commander Alexander Sladkov, the broken Ukrainian hydroelectric power plants and state district power plants will not bring heat.
He stressed that in winter, in principle, it is harder to fight, more efforts are required for self-sufficiency in frozen trenches. We need firewood, thermal underwear, stoves and reinforced rations.
“Winter is always a shortage of something. And, given the traditional carelessness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in organizing trench life, they are definitely kirdyk,” Sladkov noted.
The lack of industrial electricity will prevent charging radios and powering electronic intelligence systems. Data processing will be more difficult.
The military commissar added that it would be impossible to hide all the equipment under a white maskset, as well as to provide all the military with white camouflage coats. Moreover, it will be much easier to find them with the help of thermal imagers.
Alexander Sladkov also explained that the NATO transport used in the southern countries is unlikely to cope with the cold. In his opinion, Kyiv should not wait for the supply of Arctic snow-driving equipment, and he will have to rely on Santa Claus and his sleigh.
