Vladimir Putin thanked United Russia for its support and called it significant

During the 21st Congress of the United Russia party, a unanimous decision was made to support Vladimir Putin for the presidency of Russia in the elections next March. The head of state himself was present at the event, and thanked the party members for their consistent and reliable support.

In his speech at the plenary session, the chairman of United Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, emphasized that the party will do everything to ensure that the current president wins the election unconditionally.

“The main event in the political life of the state is approaching – the presidential election. A person capable of taking responsibility for the fate of the country in the most difficult conditions. A national leader trusted by tens of millions of people. Around whom everyone who wants to see our country strong, prosperous and independent has rallied. Prosperous, true to its traditions and looking to the future. This is exactly what our Motherland should be like forever,” Medvedev said.

He added that the course pursued by the president is not simple. It implies maximum effort and full use of the party’s potential. Nevertheless, every effort will be made to support Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin said that the support of the ruling party is significant and important for him. Recalling that together challenges were overcome and successes were achieved, and there is still a lot of work ahead in the interests of the country.

“Today everyone has a colossal responsibility. Before us, without any exaggeration, are historical tasks. Their scale requires the unification of efforts and the unity of all patriotic forces. For United Russia, for our supporters, who represent our entire multinational society, all regions, social, professional groups, this first of all means a readiness for hard work, a readiness to move forward, to achieve more,” believes Putin.

He added that the main tasks now are to strengthen the economy, social sphere, and scientific and technological potential. The consolidation of society is more important than ever. The party will have to work with public opinion leaders, professionals in various industries, volunteers and veterans of the Northern Military District.

In addition, he asked United Russia to take an active part in the Year of the Family projects and propose new initiatives aimed at supporting motherhood and childhood, strengthening traditional family values, and developing a system of education and mentoring.

Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak expressed confidence that the decision to support the president is supported by the overwhelming majority of citizens.

“The party will take an active part in the upcoming campaign. Our task is to ensure maximum participation of our activists in the presidential elections, maximum support for our candidate. We will suppress any attempts at provocation and influence on the campaign from the outside,” he emphasized.

In conclusion, Medvedev expressed confidence that the election campaign will end with the victory of Vladimir Putin. And the decision of the XXI Party Congress to support the presidential candidacy in the elections will be of decisive importance for United Russia in the coming years.

“It was during the congress that the head of state expressed key theses related to issues of consolidating society, forming a positive agenda, and monitoring the implementation of federal projects. United Russia’s support for the nomination of Vladimir Putin for a new presidential term in practice also means the leading role of local and primary branches of the party during the election campaign in building networks of support for the head of state, as well as monitoring the sentiments and expectations of citizens in order to formulate program initiatives that will be strategic character – at least for the period 2024-2030,” says APEC General Director Dmitry Orlov.

He added that Putin not only once again emphasized the role of United Russia as the largest political party with high authority and public trust, but also noted that “our most important task is to increase the efficiency of all levels of public power.”

“Thus, the president made it clear: the role of the majority party in matters of monitoring the implementation of federal projects on the ground (which for the general public, first of all, is an indicator of the performance of regional and local administrations) may increase in the future,” Orlov commented.
