Vladimir Legoyda this afternoon broke the silence on social networks that has lasted since yesterday, which became tragic for the family of the head of the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church.
At two o’clock in the afternoon, he reposted the words of condolences of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ in connection with the death of Roman Legoyda, addressed to Vladimir Romanovich and all the relatives of the deceased.
“I pray for the repose of the newly deceased servant of God Roman in the villages of the righteous, as well as for the consolation of his relatives and friends who have suffered an irreparable loss. May the merciful Lord strengthen you all with the remembrance of His promises about the resurrection of the dead and the life of the next century,” reads the text of the message from the head of the Russian Church.
After the publication, Vladimir Legoida wrote a brief: “Thank you very much for the prayers,” meaning all the believers who prayerfully and morally supported him, and first of all the patriarch.
Let us recall that the father of the Orthodox publicist, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Foma”, author of the famous book “Do Jeans Hinder Salvation” Vladimir Legoida, 90-year-old Roman Timofeevich Legoida, was killed in Moscow on December 29. An ex-prisoner suspected of murder, who became a member of the SVO, and then deserted from the front and lived with fake documents, was detained by the regional police.
