The Zakharov publishing house, which has exclusively published books by Boris Akunin, a recognized foreign agent in Russia, since the end of the last century, congratulated readers on the upcoming New Year with a hint of its closure.
On the eve of the holidays, the publishing house, which survived the search and increased attention to itself in this regard from the media, published a post beginning with the phrase “Friends, we say goodbye to you until the beginning of 2024” (followed by standard congratulatory formulas in the spirit of “thank you for reading”).
It would seem like a completely innocent post, but human attention is designed in such a way that first we involuntarily snatch the “header” of the post or the beginning of the news headline, and then consciously perceive everything else. So the marker word “farewell” forced hundreds of people to read the publication according to the laws of clickbait, especially since fans of Akunin’s work* expected something like the end of the epic with “Zakharov” – that is, the cessation of activity.
This did not happen, but the publisher, who tried to resist the confiscation of the books of Akunin, who had spoken about the article, came to terms with the situation. On the site, when searching for “Akunin,” zero authors and zero works pop up, but only the biographical novel “Bakunin,” which is similar in name.
Let us recall that the author of novels about Erast Fandorin and other popular prose and fiction, Boris Akunin, in an interview with pranksters, said that the West needs to organize a program to help relocate “deserters from the Russian army” to Europe, and then openly called for joining the Ukrainian paramilitary force, recognized in The Russian Federation is a terrorist organization at the level of the Supreme Court. A case has been opened against Boris Akunin (real name Grigory Chkhartishvili) for publicly justifying terrorism and spreading fake news about the Russian army.
