Y$/Vultures

The release of the joint album between Kanye West, which has recently been hidden behind various abbreviations, and Ty Dolla $ign was supposed to take place back in December, but according to a long-standing tradition, everything was postponed to January. The upcoming album suddenly has a Russian footprint. Some time ago it became known that designer Gosha Rubchinsky would be involved in the affairs of Kanye’s fashion department as the chief creative officer. Under Gosha’s leadership, merch with the album’s logo has already been released, and one of the models advertising it was the actor from the series “The Boy’s Word” Yaroslav Mogilnikov.

The release also has a noticeable scandalous flair. Kanye has long been awarded the title of troublemaker, provocateur and person who goes against all the rules of decency of the civilized world. Large brands have terminated their contracts with him, the artist’s secular fashion shows invariably take place on the verge of a foul, and even an attempt to apologize for anti-Semitic statements did not end in the most beautiful way due to Kanye’s accusations that he used artificial intelligence for his post in Hebrew.

With music it’s not nearly as exciting. The already released first single was a big disappointment for those who were expecting an explosion of emotions. Vultures is more reminiscent of an eerie routine with a sleeping pill effect, which, however, does not mean that the entire album is hopeless. Kanye has always been able to squeeze the most out of his compositions and perhaps surprises await us.

Green Day/Saviors

The fourteenth album of the American punk stars will be released against the backdrop of the not very successful release of Father Of All… three years ago. In this situation, the group has a good chance of receiving compliments, especially since the three available singles promise everything that Green Day is loved for. Next year will also be an occasion to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the album Dookie, which, in fact, shaped the sound of the group, as well as the twentieth anniversary of the release of American Idiot, which at one time became one of the most powerful rock manifestos of the era. It is unlikely that Green Day will be able to record something similar in scope and influence on the audience, however, new songs are a good reason to go on tour. And the new tour is expected to be quite extensive, at least in its North American segment. Stadium concerts are planned there, where Green Day will perform along with Rancid, The Linda Lindas and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Dua Lipa

The title of the album and its release date are still unknown, but the third album of one of the main pop divas of recent years is awaited with incredible anticipation. More than three years ago, Dua Lipa released the album Future Nostalgia, which became the favorite musical toy of all pop fans during the lockdown. The record was received and appreciated so well that the stakes for the singer were higher than ever. Unveiled in November, “Houdini” is seen as the first single from the new album and sounds very promising as a mix of disco and electro-dance. Participation in the soundtrack to the acclaimed film “Barbie” also fueled passions around the singer. There are persistent rumors that they are ready to give her headlining performances at many festivals next summer. And against such a background, a new album is simply necessary.

The Smile/Wall Of Eyes

At the end of January, members of the legendary Radiohead Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, along with drummer Tom Skinner, promise a new album. In 2022, the trio released the album A Light Of Attracting Attention, which delighted both those who were waiting for news from Radiohead and those who followed the solo experiments of the group members. The new lineup played very confidently, and the songs sounded powerful enough to attract a lot of attention. The second album The Smile can no longer be perceived as Radiohead in overexposure. The group apparently has big plans without regard to how the fate of the world-famous group will turn out. Wall Of Eyes can in some ways be considered an album from the golden days of rock. Only such associations arise when it comes to recording in Abbey Road Studios with the participation of a large orchestra.

The Cure

The post-punk legends have been on tour for over a year now, and their three-hour show features not only classic hits, but also new songs. Considering that the new releases have already been well tested and are being received by the public with great enthusiasm, it makes sense to finally collect them on a new album. It has been said several times that The Cure’s fourteenth album will soon appear, but no one has yet announced a date. It must be admitted that in his seventh decade, group leader Robert Smith is in excellent shape. He endures big concerts, writes new songs and even fights with monopolists for fairer ticket prices. At the moment, The Cure’s most recent release dates back to 2008. The album 4.13 Dream was then received well enough to see prospects for one of the most respected bands in the world.
