Vitaly Khotsenko, a graduate of the fourth stream of the “School of Governors” and a finalist of the “Leaders of Russia” 2018-2019 competition, was appointed the new head of the Omsk region. The corresponding decree was published on Kremlin website.
Khotsenko was appointed as acting governor of the region in connection with the resignation of Alexander Burkov.
The Acting Governor has experience at the regional level – he, among other things, held senior positions in the system of executive authorities of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Stavropol Territory. Since June 8, 2022, he has been the chairman of the government of the Donetsk People’s Republic. With his direct participation in the DPR, a referendum on reunification with Russia was held.
Khotsenko also worked at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, where he headed the Department of Regional Industrial Policy and Project Management
On March 15, Vladislav Kuznetsov was appointed acting head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Like Khotsenko, he is a graduate of the “School of Governors”, a finalist in the “Leaders of Russia” competition and has experience working in new territories – since June 9, 2022, Kuznetsov has been First Deputy Prime Minister of the LPR.
