According to MK, the visit of the President of Equatorial Guinea to Russia, scheduled for June 27, will not take place.
Earlier, Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov announced that the leader of this African country, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, would hold talks with the President of the Russian Federation.
“We can say that for Russia this is the year of Africa, we are holding a summit and a lot of visits,” Ushakov said.
Officially, Mbasogo’s visit has not yet been canceled, but it is clear that the events of June 24 will make fundamental changes to the president’s work schedule.
Usually, the main events with the participation of the head of state were announced in the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin”, but yesterday its host Pavel Zarubin did not specify what the GDP will do this week. The only thing he reported was a regular meeting with members of the Security Council. As a rule, such meetings with the president are held on Fridays.
On June 25-26, the President of Equatorial Guinea was supposed to visit Belarus, and this visit has already been officially canceled – more precisely, it has been postponed. According to the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz, “mutually acceptable dates will be agreed soon and the visit will take place in the near future.”
