Mayor of Belgorod: those injured in the shelling decided to stay home
All persons whose housing was damaged during the massive shelling of Belgorod by Ukrainian armed forces were offered to go to temporary accommodation centers, but people decided to stay in their homes, the mayor of the city Valentin Demidov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the center of Belgorod. The strike was reportedly carried out using Alder missiles with a prohibited cassette part and shells from the Czech Vampire MLRS. Most of them were intercepted on approach to Belgorod, but some of the ammunition hit densely populated areas. As a result, 21 people died, including 3 children, 110 people were injured, including 17 children, 30 people were injured and in serious condition.
30 apartment buildings, 344 apartments, three private houses, and several social facilities, including a school, lyceum and kindergarten, were damaged.
