“Vedomosti”: the Ministry of Finance proposed to allow the “privatization” of pension savings

The Ministry of Finance made a proposal, according to which it allowed the “privatization” of the pension savings of Russians.

Vedomostireferring to the joint presentation of the departments, presented by the chairman of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina and the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, reported that the Ministry of Finance made a proposal, according to which it was allowed to “privatize” the pension savings of Russians.

It is clarified that we are talking about granting citizens of the country who have the appropriate pension savings the right to invest them of their own choice.

“In order to dispose of pension savings of your choice, you must comply with certain conditions. For example, this initiative does not provide for the possibility of withdrawing money,” the newspaper notes.

According to Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, it is planned to create a system in which citizens will decide for themselves whether to invest pension savings of their own choice or leave money under the management of the PFR fund.
