The software developer MyOffice (New Cloud Technologies LLC) by the end of 2023 should develop a corporate mail system on the import-independent platform Mail 2.0, they write Vedomosti. According to the publication, the new system will become an analogue of the Microsoft Outlook manager. The costs required for the implementation of the project are estimated at 1.1 billion rubles.
From the “road map” “New system-wide software” approved in December until 2030, it follows that the IT company “I-Teco” and the state corporation “Rosatom” will also become responsible executors. Director of the Center for Import Substitution in the field of ICT Ilya Massukh told the newspaper that Rosatom acts as a customer, MyOffice as a developer, and Ai-Teco as an integrator.
The materials of the DC note that the new system will have to support more than 400 thousand mailboxes, users will be able to send about 50 messages a day, their average volume will be 500 kilobytes. The system should also provide for a single address book, the newspaper notes.
According to the government schedule, the technical architecture of the mail client should be worked out by March 2023, and they plan to test and release the system by June. Pilot operation of the mail system will last from June to September, and by the end of next year it should be put into commercial operation and technical support should be set up, Vedomosti reports.
On December 12, Kommersant wrote that in order to finalize its own software, MyOffice requested state grants in the amount of 1.38 billion rubles. We are talking not only about interface elements, but also about the ability to translate macros (embedded in program documents) written in the Microsoft programming language. The total project costs are estimated at RUB 1.69 billion. Among the customers, in addition to the above-mentioned Rosatom, is Russian Railways.
