The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced how vacation is granted to servicemen from the zone of a special military operation. Schedules can be adjusted based on the situation in the NWO zone. Rotation is carried out taking into account “maintaining the combat readiness of military units involved in the SVO.”

The Ministry of Defense spoke about the procedure for granting holidays in response to a request from State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina (KPRF). She posted the answer in her Telegram channel. Deputy sent a request in July: she noted that President Vladimir Putin in February instructed establish a regular 14-day vacation at least once every six months for all participants in the SVO. But, as Mrs. Ostanina stated, “judging by the letters of the wives and relatives of the mobilized … the president’s order is not being properly carried out.”

The Ministry of Defense assured that “a set of measures is being taken to provide vacations” to mobilized and contract soldiers. They must rest at least once every six months for 14 days, excluding travel time to the place of vacation.

“Planning and granting vacations to military personnel … is carried out by the commander (chief of staff) of the military unit, taking into account the unconditional fulfillment of the assigned tasks facing the military unit. To this end, the headquarters of the military unit is developing a vacation schedule … The corresponding vacation schedules are approved (corrected) by the commanders of the groupings of troops based on the current operational situation in the zone of the NMD and taking into account the unconditional fulfillment of combat missions, ”the answer says.

The Ministry of Defense did not provide detailed information on the organization and conduct of the rotation of the mobilized, as it “refers to restricted access information.
