US Senate to consider halting arms sales to Saudi Arabia
[ad_1]
A bill to temporarily stop the arms trade with Saudi Arabia has been submitted to the US Senate. This was announced by Senator Richard Blumenthal.
As noted in the bill, it is proposed to temporarily, for a period of 1 year, suspend direct commercial and foreign military sales to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ban should apply to weapons and ammunition.
Earlier it became known that the US administration is considering revising relations with Saudi Arabia. This position of the White House is explained by the situation with oil production: Saudi Arabia, like other OPEC+ countries, has decided to reduce oil production. This plays into the hands of Russia in the current situation.
