The US Senate rejected the initiative to block the sale of F-16s to Turkey
American Senate parliamentarians voted against the initiative presented by Senator Rand Paul to refuse sales of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey.
The Republican senator representing the state of Kentucky called his document a “resolution of disapproval.”
It is known that members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee refused to submit the draft resolution to a general vote.
Let us remind you that the White House recommended that Congress approve the sale of American F-16 multirole light fighters and modernization kits for them to Turkey worth more than $20 billion, after the authorities of this country abandoned their objections to Sweden’s accession to NATO.
