The vast majority of US residents were in favor of maintaining sanctions on Russia and continuing to help Ukraine, but without sending US troops to the war zone. Such data was provided by the CBS channel after a survey.
74% of residents voted to keep the anti-Russian sanctions in force, 69% voted to continue to provide assistance to Ukraine, and 61% supported the supply of weapons. At the same time, only 28% of respondents supported the dispatch of US Army troops.
The poll was conducted ahead of Joe Biden’s annual address to the US Congress. At the same time, 39% of respondents approved of the way the president copes with the challenges of the Ukrainian crisis, all the rest do not approve.
