The plight of the US defense sector could lead to interruptions in the supply of weapons to Ukraine. This could happen as early as the coming winter, says US military intelligence officer Joseph Donato.
In an article for publication The National Interest he wrote that the country’s defense industrial base is already experiencing difficulties in supplying weapons to Kyiv. Stockpiles of critical munitions are declining. This can be said, given the current rate of fire. Pichina, according to Donato, is in the deindustrialization of the States. It continued for decades and exacerbated the problems in logistics. In addition, it greatly reduced the volume of military production.
As a result, Donato noted that instead of expanding obligations to Kyiv, it would be better to force the government of Volodymyr Zelensky to make “a peace that implies concessions from Ukraine to Russia.”
Earlier, Professor Yuri Zhdanov told MK that American military assistance to Ukraine is increasing. At the same time, Washington’s military budget is also growing.
