The US intelligence community says Russia has made attempts to discredit the Democratic Party ahead of the 2022 midterm congressional elections. It is clarified that Russia allegedly sought to undermine confidence in the party and have a negative impact on US support for Ukraine. These findings are contained in a declassified report by the National Intelligence Council.
US intelligence officials say they have a “high level of confidence” in the veracity of this conclusion, although no concrete evidence has been provided.
