US Congress calls for expansion of missions to Ukraine to control spending

An initiative group of members of the US Congress sent an appeal to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with a proposal to expand the ability of employees of oversight agencies to control the distribution of US aid in Ukraine.
This appeal was required by parliamentarians against the backdrop of the difficulties that the United States is experiencing with an audit outside of Ukraine.
“We urge employees of the offices of the Pentagon Inspectors General, the State Department and the Agency for International Development to be allowed to travel to Ukraine … to perform their oversight functions,” the letter says.
