US Congress approves $848 billion defense budget

Both houses of the US Congress have agreed on a draft defense budget for 2023 in the amount of $858 billion. This volume is 45 billion more than what the White House requested at the beginning of this year. The defense budget for 2022 was 778 billion.
The agreed project included funds for modern technology, American intelligence, military vehicles, new ships and aircraft. To increase the production capacity for the creation of ammunition and the temporary removal of some restrictions on their supply, Ukraine will receive $ 2.7 billion.
The relevant committees of Congress fully approved the financing of the creation of the sixth generation B-21a bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
Within five years, it is planned to allocate up to $10 billion for sales of weapons and military equipment to Taiwan.
The document also says about the exclusion of Russia from the G20, military cooperation with it is prohibited for five years. Sanctions are provided for transactions with Moscow’s gold, counteraction to hypersonic weapons and the allocation of at least $800 million to help Ukraine
