[ad_1]
From the beginning of November, the US Air Force will begin deploying fifth-generation F-22 Rapto multi-role combat aircraft to its Kadena base on the Japanese island of Okinawa. They should replace the outdated F-1 fighters. These boards, in turn, will go to the States for modernization, Nikkei informs.
There are currently 50 F-1s based at Kaden. Over ten will be sent back within a few weeks.
The US Air Force has not yet decided which combat aircraft it is supposed to deploy in Okinawa on a permanent or rotational basis.
Kadena is a town in Japan located in Nakagami County, Okinawa Prefecture. The population is 13,546 people.
Not far from the village is the largest US air base in Asia, Kadena.
