United Russia stood up for the mayor of Orsk Vasily Kozupits, whose son bought an apartment in Dubai for about 33 million rubles. They believe that Kozupica has not done anything discreditable.
“There are no questions in the party for the mayor of Orsk, because he has not done anything discrediting. If he had a minor son, and the mayor did not indicate the apartment, this would be one question,” said a source in the party.
He added that the mayor’s son Nikolai is an adult, so he has the right to do whatever he wants.
Another source confirmed that United Russia is not considering the possibility of any party sanctions against the mayor, because he has nothing to show.
Kozupica previously assured that his son achieved everything on his own. According to him, Nikolai “worked for 10 years in difficult conditions on Sakhalin, and then he was invited to Saudi Arabia.”
