United Russia presented programs in new regions

Branches of United Russia (ER) in the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions at regional conferences presented versions of the pre-election “people’s program” for new regions. In the LPR, the conference will be held on Friday. The program was based on more than 50,000 proposals from citizens in the LPR, more than 35,000 in the Zaporozhye region, more than 10,000 in the DPR, and more than 1,000 in the Kherson region. This means that proposals from potential voters were received much more actively than usual, he says interlocutor in the party: as a rule, people do not show such enthusiasm.

Most sections of the regional programs of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are similar, says Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia, Senator from the LPR Daria Lantratova. It’s natural, she says: the documents reflect the “challenges that the inhabitants of the new regions faced during the difficult times” of aggression.

All these programs are divided into three key sections. In the DPR, these are “A Decent Life for Decent People” (welfare of citizens), “New Passport – New Opportunities” (opening new departments of the MFC and optimizing their work), “Healthcare”. In Lugansk – “Social well-being of people”, “Health care”, “The quality of education is a guarantee of the development of the republic.”

Similar sections, but under different names, are in the programs of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions: “Good work – prosperity in the house”, “Strong family”, “Human health” / “Medicine”, “Education”. In the first section, in particular, all regions are promised faster growth in wages for state employees and the expansion of social support for families of military personnel.

In all new regions, United Russia candidates talk about social guarantees, repair and construction of housing, restoration and development of housing and communal services infrastructure, transport and communications, which were badly damaged by the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said the head of the CEC of the party, Alexander Sidyain. The United Russia also sets the task of developing infrastructure for military personnel, ensuring the work of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, and patriotic education.

But there are differences between regions. For example, in the program of the DPR, which has access to the Sea of ​​Azov, there is a block dedicated to the development of tourism potential. The party members intend to create ecological trails on the coast of the Sea of ​​Azov and tourist and recreation complexes. Also, United Russia plans to return the status of the city of roses to Donetsk and improve public spaces. United Russia believes that these measures will increase the tourist flow to Donetsk to 300,000 by 2030.

In the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, United Russia will, among other things, create “strong families”: they plan to increase the social security of families with children, create additional opportunities for the development of children, and also allocate benefits for large and low-income families. Kherson, being the breadbasket of Russia, should be maximally developed in this area. In this regard, by helping local farmers, by 2025 it is projected to increase the production of grain by 2 times, vegetables and potatoes – by 5 times, milk – by 6 times, livestock and poultry – by 14 times.

“This is the request of the people, there is nothing paradoxical, this is the most pragmatic and correct approach in terms of representing the interests of the people,” said political scientist Alexander Asafov. The party does not take on impossible populist tasks, he added.

These programs “fit the dream,” said Aleksey Makarkin, first vice-president of the Center for Political Technologies. In his opinion, the emphatically peaceful program is due to the fact that people need “an ordinary life with ordinary problems.” In addition, it is important for the party to show that the new territories are “ordinary subjects of Russia and the country has big plans for their future,” says Makarkin.

The last stage of the conferences was held simultaneously on August 2. Elections in the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions will be held on September 8-10 on a single voting day.
