Secretary of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak instructed to work out the issue of deferment from mobilization not affecting deputies who want to participate in hostilities. Vitaly Milonov, a deputy from United Russia, announced this “RIA News”. Now deputies and senators are provided by law for a deferment from partial mobilization.

“The federal law says that deputies are not subject to mobilization. And all our volunteers do everything voluntarily, despite the fact that they are required to attend meetings. And if a decision is made, it would be necessary that all our volunteers do not look like violators of the regulations. And all the volunteers could self-mobilize,” said Mr. Milonov.

According to the deputy, deputies taking part in hostilities cannot formalize their absence from the State Duma, since business trips to the combat zone are not provided for by law. “Now we are initiating a question so that my colleagues – United Russia deputies – and I can mobilize,” he added.

Mr. Milonov said last week that he went to the zone of military operation. However, on September 30 attended in Moscow at the signing ceremony of documents on the accession of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia. The deputy claimed that on Tuesday, October 4, he would again go to the zone of military operation.
