United Russia deputies were asked to write author’s columns in Telegram

A new section will appear on the United Russia Telegram channel – “author’s posts-columns of deputies on topics relevant to the current information agenda.” This was reported to Vedomosti by two interlocutors in the party.
“This is not a news format where we report that this or that deputy went somewhere, helped someone, said something, etc. And the explanatory and analytical format, where we deployed and intelligibly, in the language of the audience, explain the essence of the decisions made and the ongoing processes, ”explain in the United Russia faction.
A column topic could be a party bill that was passed, or “a major news item on a federal scale, such as the new concept of Russian foreign policy or the decision of the sponsors of the IOC to exclude Russia.”
“We have an extensive agenda, including on legislative activity,” a source in the party explained to Vedomosti. “And we give the deputies the opportunity to share the author’s opinion, as well as explain the adoption of certain decisions.” In fact, this is an “additional platform” of the party’s Telegram channel, which is made available to deputies so that they can expand their audience, the Vedomosti source said.
