Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree that approves a coordinated draft agreement with Belarus on uniform competition rules. About it reported government press office.
As noted in the government, the agreement will help to harmonize the antimonopoly legislation of Russia and Belarus. The document will oblige governments to “suppress any manifestations of monopoly and apply antitrust laws to companies” of the Union State on an equal footing.
“The agreement is aimed at forming uniform predictable rules for doing business in the territories of the two countries, on the basis of which the rights and interests of entrepreneurs and consumers in Russia and Belarus will be protected,” the press service quotes Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk as saying.
Russia and Belarus have been negotiating allied programs for three years. They were agreed in September 2021. In July Alexey Overchuk appreciated readiness of joint programs within the framework of the Union State by 46%.
