The unemployment rate in Russia remains at a record low of 3.9% for the third month in a row, according to data Rosstat. The previous minimum level of 4% was recorded in April. In 2021, the average monthly unemployment rate was 4.8%.
In July, 2.9 million people aged 15 and over were registered as unemployed (in accordance with ILO methodology). The average age of the unemployed was 35.8 years. Including the share of young people under 25 years old – 26.3%, persons aged 50 years and older – 19.6%.
