UN will take part in the BRICS summit

The UN will be represented at the BRICS summit in South Africa. This was stated by Deputy Spokesperson of the Secretary General of the World Organization Farhan Haq, informed TASS.
“We hope to let you know the details, possibly early next week,” Hack added.
The BRICS summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) will be held from 22 to 24 August. It will be held in person for the first time in three years. The leaders of four states will come to the event, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the summit via video link. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the events in person.
17 March Criminal Court in The Hague gave out arrest warrant for Putin. The press service of the President of South Africa reported that Putin’s refusal to attend the summit in person was “by mutual agreement” of the parties.
