UN Secretary-General condemns terrorist attack near Russian embassy in Kabul

Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary General, issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack at the Russian embassy in Kabul.
“The Secretary General strongly condemns the attack in Kabul in the immediate vicinity of the Russian Embassy, … expresses condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the victims,” the document says.
The UN also recalled that attacks on civilians and civilian objects, including diplomatic missions, “are strictly prohibited by international humanitarian law.”
Recall that on the morning of September 5, in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, an unknown militant set off an explosive device. Two employees of the diplomatic mission were killed.
