Today, the world is much closer to a nuclear catastrophe in the last hundred years. Such a statement was made during a meeting of the UN General Assembly by the head of the GA session Chaba Koroshi.
“Heightened mistrust, geopolitical competition and the growing number of armed conflicts have only increased the dangers in our world,” Koroshi said.
He added that global military spending reached a record $2 trillion last year. According to him, there are signs that one can see that nuclear arsenals and capabilities are growing, which is contrary to the NPT.
In addition, Koroshi reported on alleged “threats” to resort to a nuclear strike on the territory of Ukraine during the conflict.
