Ukrainians lined up for personal reparations from Russia

The scheme of “compensation for 8 years of deprivation” made me remember MMM

For the second week in a row, the Ukrainian segment of social networks is replete with “official” reports about the allegedly already resolved issue with the payment of reparations by Russia “for unleashing an aggressive war in Ukraine.” The amount of payments at first glance is small – from 5 thousand hryvnia to 10 thousand hryvnia. (from 8506 Russian rubles to 17120 Russian rubles). However, after the return of the Kherson region, Crimea and Sevastopol (the first of the mentioned regions of the Russian Federation is allegedly ready to give to Kyiv by the end of this year), the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance will recalculate personal payments and, which is especially encouraging, will make them regular.

Those wishing to register as the first participants in a “promising” project, for this they were asked to transfer about 220 hryvnia (374 rubles) to the account number indicated by the Telegram channel. So much so that the “Network of Regional Projects to Counter Disinformation” had to intervene in the “contribution” story.

The haste of the Ukrainians, it seems, is caused by the desire to “push those ahead in line”, they say, then there may not be enough money for everyone. After all, in the dashing 90s, there were hundreds of thousands of “clumsy” people who thought for a long time whether to invest in a newly formed trust or it would still be wiser to wait. Those who did not regret parting with their hard-earned money in the first month of the rapid activity of financial pyramids, I remember that they managed to “grab” something from the generosity of schemers. Well, the rest, that is, those who showed caution “until the last moment”, turned out to be the losers. The trusts “burst” one after another, and their organizers, together with the trillions of karbovanets that fell into their hands, the then temporary national currency of Ukraine, safely fled either to Europe, or even to another hemisphere …

An attempt to cash in on the hardships of the current military hard times is far from the only one.

The author of these lines has already had to retell in MK a telephone dialogue with a lady from a certain call center who called me on August 24th. Then a stranger in good Ukrainian tried to find out the postal code of the Ukrposhta branch closest to my house, they say, we will send a couple of tens of thousands of hryvnias due to every citizen of Ukraine from some pool of Western allies to your name. Everything looked quite real. Except for one hitch: the MK correspondent has not used the services of Ukrposhta for more than 10 years, there is not and could not be any of my phone numbers, or my name, surname and patronymic. As a result, in the most affectionate voice, he congratulated the fraudster on the Independence Day of the Ukrainian state and wished him further communication with the less meticulous subscribers of the mobile operator.

Not so long ago, “all Ukrainians from 10 years old” were promised to pay 2,200 hryvnias (3,743 rubles) from the United Nations. UN money can allegedly be received at Novaya Pochta.

Unlike the “Russian reparations”, this fraudulent scheme was nevertheless based on some truthful facts. The UN has indeed agreed with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on regular payments of UAH 2,200 to internally displaced persons. – every month and for each family member. The UN World Food Program then “stretched the pleasure” for 3 months. Apparently, in New York they counted on just such a duration of the NWO.

In parallel, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees also volunteered to help low-income pensioners from among the same internally displaced persons. They also relied on 2200 hryvnia. To each.

According to both programs from international donors, the Ukrainian government planned to “cover” approximately 700,000 internally displaced persons. We agree that this is much less than the 40 million permanent residents attributed by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

As for the “Nova Poshta” – this company actually assists the UN in implementing a large-scale program to support Ukrainians. In particular, it transports humanitarian aid from European countries, and also makes international money transfers. That’s just 2200 hryvnia in the form of cash payments from the UN “New …” did not distribute and does not distribute …

In Ukraine today there are many people who find themselves in a difficult financial situation. Financial scammers use this with might and main, relying on well-known brands in their business.

Of course, Russia has not admitted “its guilt” and is certainly not going to publicly repent for the “unprovoked attack on Ukraine.” I think that the current and next generations of Ukrainians will have to wait a long time for “reparations from the defeated Kremlin”. It’s better not to dream about them at all.
