Ukrainian women who have entered the military register will not be able to leave the country from October 1, the newspaper reports. “Suspilne” with reference to the lawyer of the Ministry of Defense of the country Vladimir Smilka. Persons liable for military service are representatives of specialties in 14 areas, including telecommunications, chemistry, biology and others.
“Order No. 313 of the Ministry of Defense issued last year significantly expanded the list of professions with which women must register for military service. However, changes were made to it, and now it has 14 specialties. However, military registration is not mobilization,” Smilka noted.
He stressed that the country “is approaching NATO standards not only in weapons, but also in military records.”
“This account is the same for both women and men. They collect the necessary documents and apply to the head of their enterprise, they are sent to the territorial acquisition centers,” Smilka explained.
According to him, women liable for military service are subject to the same restrictions as men, but they are not fined for failure to comply with the order by the end of the year.
Formerly the Verkhovna Rada supported bills submitted by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on extending the terms of mobilization and martial law. According to the bill “On the extension of the martial law in Ukraine”, which Zelensky introduced to parliament on August 12, from August 23 it will be extended for 90 days. Similar terms are established by the second document – “On the extension of the terms for general mobilization.”
Martial law in Ukraine was introduced on February 24. It was extended every month, on May 22, the Ukrainian parliament extended martial law and mobilization for three months at once.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine on February 24. The president called it the goal of helping the residents of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. On July 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Putin on the liberation of the LNR.
