On September 13, TASS, citing the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, reported that all teachers and directors of schools in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine who wanted to leave were taken to Russia. “It’s fake that [там] there were teachers from the Russian Federation,” Kravtsov said, adding that those who wished were taken to the Belgorod, Rostov regions and Krasnodar Territory.
An interlocutor of Vedomosti working in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine, as well as another source close to the DPR administration, reported that Russian teachers did indeed go to these regions, but that the Russians were in the Kharkiv region, they do not know. Kommersant, citing a source close to the Russian Ministry of Education, said that “there were no Russian teachers in the region who could be held accountable.”
