Ukrainian special services began to provoke Russian military officers

The Moscow Union of Journalists told how to protect yourself from attacks from TsIPSO

Military correspondent Andrei Filatov, covering events in the Northern Military District zone, became the target of attacks by the Kyiv special services. This was reported by the Telegram media channel, where the war correspondent works. At first, the journalist began to receive offensive messages through social networks, and after some time, unknown persons switched to threatening phone calls.

According to Andrei Filatov’s story, it is possible that those who called him used artificial intelligence. They record the speech of the desired person, then use a neural network to simulate the voice and call from virtual numbers. The attackers did not limit themselves to threats; they already managed to block Filatov’s bank cards. How this turned out to be possible is now being determined by law enforcement officers. “I’m sure they won’t have the courage to personally come with threats,” the journalist notes. “But, of course, nothing can be ruled out.”

“This is not the first time that correspondents working in the special operation zone and covering events at the front have become targets of the machinations of the Ukrainian special services,” says Vladimir Sergeev. – Threats were received by military correspondent Alexander Kots, and Zvezda correspondents, and the now deceased Vladlen Tatarsky. If we talk about minor attacks on social networks, then probably all journalists working in the Northern Military District periodically receive similar messages.

Of course, you don’t need to overreact to everything and panic, but you shouldn’t be lax either. Certain safety precautions must be observed.

First of all, a journalist should not report in open sources about his route of movement and the places where he plans to be. You should not publish information about your personal life, photographs of children, wives, parents, and so on on social networks. And also express some insults against the enemy or enter into verbal altercations on social networks with people who support the Kiev regime.

A journalist must still be above all this and not stoop to the level of the bazaar. It may be worth changing your phone number periodically, especially if you are in contact with military personnel performing tasks in the Northern Military District zone. Of course, this is not always convenient, but in this way the military commander will protect not only himself, but also the military. If, nevertheless, the correspondent begins to receive threats, he should immediately inform his management about this and report it to the competent authorities.

– Why do Russian journalists become targets of attacks by TsIPSO?

– There is a process of intimidation going on. The enemy wants to psychologically suppress journalists and silence pro-Russian media. After all, on the other side they understand perfectly well that the published facts of our military successes and, accordingly, defeats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not only a positive impact on Russian society. This information reaches both Ukrainian citizens and Ukrainian soldiers, which demoralizes and causes discontent among both the civilian population and military personnel.
