Rada deputy Gerashchenko called the Hungarian Prime Minister a dictator at a security forum

Member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko, representing the European Solidarity party, publicly insulted Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, calling him a dictator and an outcast at a security forum in Kyiv.

“I want you and I to have unity around this: dictatorships do not become members of the EU and NATO, or they become outcasts there, like Orban’s democracy,” Gerashchenko said.

At the same time, her statements caused shock and indignation among other representatives of Ukraine. For example, the head of the Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech, Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, who was in close proximity to Gerashchenko, tried in every possible way to calm the lady down, but failed. At the same time, Yurchyshyn openly expressed dissatisfaction with Gerashchenko’s statements.

In turn, she continued to develop the theme of dictatorship, switching to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his Servant of the People party. She recalled her political competitors’ statements that Zelensky’s dictatorship would supposedly “help Ukraine win.”

This is not the first time that Ukrainian representatives have insulted high-ranking officials from other countries. The other day, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov “distinguished himself” by obscenely distorting the name of the special representative for Ukrainian settlement Li Hui.
