Ukrainian prisoner spoke about the murder of civilians near Volnovakha

Ukrainian military Vyacheslav Simbirsky, who was previously captured by Russia, said that in March last year in the Volnovakha region of the DPR, he killed nine civilians.
He specified that he had killed seven people, including three women, with a grenade launcher at a residential building. At the same time, the corresponding order was given to him by the military command.
Simbirsky specified that in March 2022, in the village of Novopetryakovka, the Ukrainian military clashed with the Russian military. In battle, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated and hastily retreated.
“I saw how two BMPs fired at residential buildings, covering our retreat. When we were running away, two civilians ran out onto the road, I got scared and fired a burst at them. They were two men, I don’t know why they ran out onto the road,” Simbirsky said.
According to him, after the retreat, his unit dispersed throughout the village. After that, the captain of the unit with the call sign “Mastiff” sent the prisoner and several other soldiers to the outskirts of the village.
“His order was as follows: to occupy the house at the end of the residential strip. It should not contain civilians. Near the house, we recorded movement and reported this to the commander, and he ordered to hit the building with an RPG. I fired two shots. When we entered the house there were seven bodies. In terms of clothing, they were civilians – three women and four men,” Simbirsky said.
