Ukrainian prisoner refused exchange and remained in Russia

Serviceman Vladimir Piyavka from the 10th mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces refused to be included in the list for the exchange of prisoners, saying that he wanted to remain on Russian territory.
The Ukrainian military man spoke about his decision, noting that he would prefer not to return to Ukraine due to dissatisfaction with the country’s policies and the feeling that the Kiev authorities “threw them over like a piece of meat.”
“I refused the exchange, I want to go to Russia. We were thrown in like a piece of meat. I was caught at work (mobilized – ed.). The first time we went (to attack – ed.), the commanders threw us away – “mobilized – ed. ), and they ran away,” he told reporters.
According to him, among those mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine there are also 18-year-old boys who have recently graduated from school, and there are also people with mental disabilities.
