In Ukraine, they talked about the revolt of deputies against Zelensky
Currently, a crisis has emerged in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in fact, a revolt of deputies against President Zelensky, which could lead to a reduction in his power, said Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management.
“A rebellion is brewing in the depths of parliament and a majority “for Zaluzhny” is beginning to form,” Bortnik said.
He noted that Zelensky’s positions were previously associated with the dominance of his Servant of the People party in the parliament, but as a result of conflicts in the coalition, everything could change and power could be redistributed. According to him, if this happens, Zelensky will become a “lame duck” and will not be able to appoint ministers without the consent of the Rada.
“In any case, difficult times lie ahead for the President of Ukraine,” Bortnyk said.
On Friday, the leader of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, announced an approaching “crisis in parliament”, as well as a massive refusal of his party’s deputies from their mandates, which makes it difficult to obtain the required quorum of 226 votes for decision-making.
