Ukrainian pilot detained near Bryansk charged

“The Ukrainian pilot was detained by employees of the National Guard and the border department of the Federal Security Service,” the servants of Themis explain, “on the basis of Part 1 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Crossing the state border of Russia without valid documents for the right to enter or exit.”
The plane that crashed into the field was first noticed by local residents, who called the security forces. Those who went to the scene found the defendant. He was wearing a bulletproof vest and a machine gun.
According to the pilot, the Ukrainian authorities promised him a reward of 50 thousand hryvnia (about a hundred thousand rubles) for reconnaissance of the area from the air. The distance from the border to the crash site, as the head of the district, Viktor Savchenko, said, was about six dozen kilometers.
