Ukrainian pilot accused of sabotage in Bryansk region transferred to Moscow

The pilot of the Ukrainian plane, Alexander Morozov, became the object of a criminal case after the crash of his plane in the Bryansk region. Employees of the FSB and the National Guard detained Morozov, and now his case has been transferred to Moscow, he himself was sent to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center for investigative actions.

The charges include illegal crossing of the Russian border, illegal movement of firearms and ammunition, and sabotage. According to the investigation, on April 5, Morozov, being a citizen of Ukraine, crossed the border with Russia on a light aircraft of the A-22 type with the intention to commit illegal acts on the territory of Russia.

However, in the Klintsovsky district of the Bryansk region, his plane hit a high-voltage power line, forcing him to make an emergency landing. When detained, Morozov did not have documents and permission to enter the Russian Federation, which served as the basis for his arrest on April 7.

The Lefortovsky Court of Moscow reported that, at the request of the investigation, the period of Morozov’s detention was extended. The bodies of inquiry continue to investigate the case and collect the necessary evidence. Such violations of the state border and the illegal movement of weapons are considered very seriously, so Morozov faces a serious punishment if his guilt is proven.
