Armed Forces of Ukraine officer Kasyanov: troops need 3 million drones to avoid shell famine
The Ukrainian government talks about too low production volumes of drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This statement was made by a specialist in the development and production of drones, an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Kasyanov, in an interview with the YouTube channel Radio NV.
“The state (Ukraine – approx.) cannot, <...> they say (in Kyiv – approx.) there are some volumes of a million drones, but in reality at least three million drones are needed to plug the hole of shell hunger,” said the Ukrainian military man.
According to him, the corresponding requirements were dictated due to huge problems in the ranks of the Ukrainian army with ammunition. He noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces need “several thousand” shells per day. However, in order to somehow solve the problems with ammunition, fighters are starting to use cheap drones.
