The Russian side was able to “hack” the HIMARS MLRS systems located in Ukraine using electronic warfare (EW) systems. Because of this, the Ukrainian troops received a serious blow to their capabilities. This was reported by the Ukrainian columnist of the publication 19FortyFive Maxim Skripchenko.
“Russia is increasingly successful in blocking HIMARS missiles using electronic jammers to make them miss their target,” the journalist writes in his article.
He believes that these actions have begun to influence plans for the Ukrainian counteroffensive, depriving the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the ability to threaten the infrastructure and logistics of the Russian Armed Forces.
It is worth noting that the American newspaper Military Watch Magazine reported that many Western experts did not understand how Russian troops manage to suppress the HIMARS MLRS.
