The fortifications of the Russian troops are significantly superior to the defensive structures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the zone of the special military operation. This statement was made by retired Ukrainian army general Sergei Krivonos on the YouTube channel “Direct”.
“My friends who periodically look at Google Maps see that the state of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ fortifications raises questions. American journalists do the same,” Krivonos said.
He emphasized that a similar problem has appeared in the army not only now, it has existed for the past 10 years. However, as the ex-general noted, the Ukrainian command does not pay attention to defensive positions, and also missed the time when they could have been put in order.
